Ghost Pools Extended

On Saturday, June 3, 2023, Flux Projects presented the official opening of Ghost Pools, a public history and multi-media art installation by local East Point resident Hannah Palmer, on the grounds of the East Point Historical Society.

The exhibit, which originally ran Memorial Day to Labor Day, has been extended until further notice. It explores Atlanta’s history with public swimming pools by creating temporary memorials to two pools in East Point that no longer exist - the Randall Street and Spring Avenue pools.

The June 3rd celebration began at the former site of the Randall Street pool and then moved to the former site of the Spring Avenue pool on the grounds of EPHS.

Ballethnic and Friends also performed during the event.
